In now what would be its 20th year, the Mountain Man Biathlon always serves up a fun and challenging race. Over the past many years, Team Bulldog Racers have shown their multi-sport ability and mountain bike prowess to always finish with high rankings. This year would be no different. In the 24 and Under Males Category, Ryan Sarka took home the top honors, and top 10 OVERALL. Moving up in age to the 35-39 year old Males, versatile racer Keith Licata finished 3rd, which would put him in 5th OVERALL. Veteran racer Kris Weber dusted off his running shoes to bring home 5th Place honors in the 45-50 Men's Category. In the Women's Categories, Gerilynn Swede was the champion for the 19-29 age group. Not to be forgotten was Jessica Hoeverman who placed in the top five of the more veteran ladies. Great work to all in this most fun run-bike-run event. A great way to start winding down the race season or get fired up for cyclocross.

With winter coming to a close and many of us preparing for the upcoming season, it's astonishing to find some competitive cyclists already dabbling in the endurance scene. Even more impressive is when you break the top 3 at Michaux. This was precisely the case for new Team Bulldog/Cycle Craft member Chris Ledonne. 2nd place out of 43 racers in the Masters Category for the Michaux Mash in Carlisle, PA on Sunday, March 15, 2009 is an impressive kickoff to anyone’s season. With the amount of climbing on this 4 hour course, really good single track and incredibly long downhills, make for an awesome mix, great race and even better story to share with fellow riders/racers. Nice work Chris.

Mount Snow Vermont hosted the 2007 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships in July providing huge victories and tremendous accomplishments from Team Bulldog members. As a result of hard work and solid racing in 05' Team Bulldog riders Brian Larivere and Julian Hunter start the 06' road season ranked number 1 in the state of New Jersey for catagory 3 racers in road racing and criterium, respectively. Brian put in some solid rides in races like the Hoositonic Hills Road Race in CT, Fitchburg-Longsjo Stage Race in MA, and the Tour de Christiana in PA.   The Bulldog teammates took on a field of over 100 riders in the Downtown Criterium at Fitchburg with Brian providing Julian with a monster pull in the closing moments of the race, setting him up for the stage win.  Both riders are looking forward to representing their newest sponsor, Campmor, on the road and in the woods.
