Although we don’t live in Vermont, the winters in our area can be tough for cycling.  And by the time you get home from work, there might not be much, or any, daylight left for you to get out and ride.  If you’ve ever ridden on a stationary trainer, you know it can be a great workout but can be mentally numbing.
Cycle Craft and Coach Brian Lariviere will be conducting trainer classes on Wednesday nights through the winter.  Each class will be 2 hours long (including warm-up and cool-down) and led by professional bicycle racer and coach, Brian Lariviere.  This will be our third year for this off-season marvel - the enthusiasm in the class is always addictive, and the motivation levels stay high for all participants.

This is a 10-week, structured class that builds over each session.  The two-hour workout is scripted by Coach B.L. and is designed to help you build endurance, leg speed, strength, and power while keeping it fresh and exciting.  We welcome beginners and experienced cyclists.
All you need is your bicycle (road bike or mountain bike with slick tire on the rear) and a stationary trainer.  It’s helpful, but not necessary, to have a heart rate monitor, cadence equipped bike computer, adjustable resistance trainer, and the ultimate training tool—a power meter.  Any of these items can of course be purchased at Cycle Craft to enhance your training experience.

Class Dates:

January 4, 11, 18, 25; February 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; March 7
(All two hour classes are on Wednesdays and begin promptly at 6:00 pm)
